Network television producer by day and badass fitness instructor by night, Quintin Xavier (QX) Roper-Sirvent is the award-winning writer behind Quintensity and Nobody Dances Here (NDH).
Launched in 2009, NDH began as a class project for his graduate studies (M.A., New Arts Journalism, School of the Art Institute Chicago). But it took on a life of its own. An antidote to Chicago’s “icy-whiteness”, NDH was a fresh, subversive take on cultural segregation, love and dating, and social politics.
And people listened.
NDH was named as one of Chicago’s Best Blogs by the Chicago Tribune, and its weekly podcast was a featured item on iTunes.
Looking to step up his game, Quintin made the devastating decision to move to New York City where he interned for MTV and worked as a freelance production assistant at NBC News.
